  • Can I install your container racking myself?

    Yes. Our racking is specially designed for use in containers so it’s super easy to install. You can expect installation of a three shelf level arrangement to take around 25 minutes.

  • Can Container Rack shelving systems be removed once installed?

    Yes. Our customers come from a wide range of sectors including self storage. If you’re using a container for a temporary period, you’ll find it’s simple to remove our shelving system without

    damaging the container wall.

  • What tools will I need for installation?

    No tools are required to install our racking products, which means installation is simle for everyone. However, you will require a screwdriver or cordless driver to attach the optional timber shleves. 

  • Can a container be moved with the shelves still in place?

    Yes, if the shelves are completely empty and the all-important locking pins and screws are secure, you can move and transport a container without removing Container Rack shelving.

  • What is the maximum load weight for your shelves?

    The maximum load weight for Container Rack shelving is dependent on the type of system you have chosen, please see the ratings supplied upon purchase. You must also make sure loads

    are evenly distributed along the length of each shelf.

  • What if the hook won’t fit behind the lashing ring?

    It’s not uncommon for lashing rings to be positioned extremely close to the container wall because they’re welded in without a jig - but it’s easy to fix.


    Dismantle the pre-assembled hook-bolt assembly, insert the hook around the lashing point and bring the upright into place passing the threaded bolt through the upright and securing with the nut.

  • Is your container racking suitable for a high cube container?

    Yes, opting for our longer upright assemblies will make our racking system suitable for high cube shipping containers. These are designed for use with our heavy duty shelving. To learn more about racking for high cube containers, call us on 01636 552 215

  • Can I use your container racking if my lashing rings are spaced differently to the ones in the photographs on your website?

    Yes. Our uprights will still fit if your lashing rings are spaced differently to those illustrated on our website. However you will need to use a different timber length which can be supplied by us or you may use your own timber if you choose.

  • How many archive boxes can I fit on shelves inside a 20’’ container?

    Depending on the exact size of the archive boxes you want to store, you’ll be able to fit around 200 boxes along one side of a 20ft container when installing our standard racking with 4 levels.
